CHARLOTTETOWN, PEI -- The Honourable Valerie E. Docherty, Minister of Tourism, is pleased to announce the first airing of the Big Break Prince Edward Island TV reality series on April 20, 2009 at 9 p.m. EST, on Golf Channel network. Twelve competitors, including Canadian contestant, Derek Gillespie, will play in ten elimination rounds with the final two facing off in match play to determine the winner.
CHARLOTTETOWN, PEI -- Valerie Docherty, Minister of Tourism, announced today a newly formed two-year partnership agreement between the Province of Prince Edward Island and the U.S.-based television network, GOLF CHANNEL. With the development of a new two-year Prince Edward Island (PEI) golf plan, this partnership will greatly assist in further building the Island’s golf market both nationally and internationally.
The Green Gables Golf Course is scheduled to be open by August 1st, 2008. This highly anticipated “opening of the doors” will show case a new and improved product to PEI’s long list of world class championship golf courses.
